OKLAHOMA CITY – House Democratic Leader Cyndi Munson, D-Oklahoma City, released the following statement on the passing of former Senate President Pro Tempore Marvin York.
“My heart goes out to the wife and children of Pro Tem Marvin York,” Leader Munson said. “During his service to the State of Oklahoma, he advocated for every single Oklahoman, particularly with his work on the Equal Rights Amendment. He worked tirelessly to bring solid legislative solutions that benefited everyone. He has done incredible things for our state and set a precedent for leadership that puts the needs of Oklahomans first. I know he will be dearly missed.”
